10 Questions American Christians Ask Me About the Ethiopian Bible

Why would I need more than 66 books? I already have the complete Bible.

Your King James Bible was printed in 1611 with 80 books. Not 66. Eighty. The Ethiopian Bible, the one the Ethiopian church has carried for more than seventeen hundred years, has 88.

The one in your hand has 66.

That means 22 books are not in your Bible. Not because God removed them. Because men did.

You did not choose a 66-book Bible. Someone chose it for you. And they chose it for financial reasons, not spiritual ones.

So when you tell me your Bible is complete, I hear a man defending a decision that was made for him before he was born.

If God wanted those books in the Bible, why didn't He keep them there? Are you saying God is too weak to preserve His own Word?

God did preserve His Word. He preserved it in Ethiopia. In a mountain country that was never colonized, never conquered by a foreign empire, never pressured by a European council to cut a single page.

For more than seventeen hundred years, God kept every book safe.

They are saved. But they are suffering. They believe, but they feel powerless. They pray, and the prayers hit the ceiling and stop.

You do not need these books for salvation. You need them for the war.

Paul is telling you there are ranks. Organized spiritual forces working against you. But your 66 books never name them. Never tell you who they are. Never give you the specific prayers to fight them.

The books that do were taken out.

Isn't this just hidden knowledge? Isn't that exactly what Gnostics and secret societies use to deceive people?

Lucifer does not want you to find something. He wants you to stay blind.

He wants you holding a Bible with the battle pages torn out. Praying into a ceiling. Carrying a heaviness you have blamed on yourself for decades. Wondering what is wrong with you. Wondering why the power the Bible talks about never shows up in your life.

That is not hidden knowledge. That is stolen knowledge.

Hidden knowledge is whispered in the dark by people who want power over you. Stolen knowledge is something you were supposed to have, that someone removed, and then convinced you it never existed.

The Book of Enoch was not discovered in a secret chamber by mystics. It was read in churches. Quoted by the apostles. Carried by believers for centuries. Then removed by a committee and replaced with a footnote.

And the one who profits most when you refuse to look for it is the one who told you not to look.

How can fallen angels reproduce? Didn't Jesus say we would be like angels? Aren't the Nephilim just a myth?

Open your Bible. Genesis chapter 6, verses 1 through 4.

Your own scripture says the sons of God took the daughters of men. Your own scripture says giants came from that union. Your own scripture says "and also after that," meaning it happened more than once.

Now. When Jesus says in heaven we will be like angels neither marrying nor giving in marriage, He is describing the redeemed in the resurrection. He is not describing fallen angels on earth before the flood. Two completely different events. Two completely different contexts. Thousands of years apart.

Your Bible started this story. The Book of Enoch finishes it.

It names who the sons of God were, what they taught mankind, what happened to them, and what their offspring became. Everything your Bible hints at and never explains, Enoch lays out in full.

You do not have to believe me. But at least admit your own Bible raises the question. The Book of Enoch answers it.

Open your Bible one more time. The book of Jude. Chapter 1. Verse 14.

Jude, the half-brother of Jesus Christ, is quoting the prophet Enoch. By name. Word for word. Inside your 66-book Bible. Jude did not call Enoch a fraud. He called him "the seventh from Adam." He called his words a prophecy. He quoted him as scripture.

Now find the Book of Enoch in your Bible. You cannot. Because it was taken out.

Your own scripture quotes a book you are not allowed to read. The half-brother of Jesus treated it as divinely inspired. And someone, centuries later, decided you do not need it.

As for the claim that it was written recently, fragments of the Book of Enoch and the Book of Jubilees were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran. These are genuinely ancient texts. Not something invented last century. Not something Ethiopia made up.

Your Bible quotes this book. The half-brother of Jesus endorsed it. Ancient copies were found in caves sealed for two thousand years. And you are sitting here telling me it is not real because a committee told you so.

If this is real, why hasn't my pastor told me about it?

And what happens is the same thing every single time. The heaviness finally makes sense. The warfare finally makes sense. The dread behind them lifts. And for the first time in their life, their prayers carry weight.

You asked how this helps the Good News. It gives the Good News its full power back. A believer who knows the enemy by name, who carries the prayers they were supposed to have, who covers their children and grandchildren with protection described in the pages their church was supposed to give them, that believer is not praying into a ceiling anymore.

That is how it helps.
